Thirdly what if the mission is timed? You all cancel except 3 people and then have to wait for them, while the timer has started! Not a good thing.

However; if its a cutscane for after the mission I would /sign that idea. I hate finishing a mission and then having to watch a 3 minute cutscene when you could just leave.

I would also sign at talking while the cut scene is on, because if its 2-3 minutes long you can miss large conversations or wispers or you can tell people to please skip.

They could also add the ability to replay all cutscenes like you do GWEN, from an NPC. That would mean people dont miss out on anything if they skip.

Not much difference to nothing but "CAP CAP CAP" or "OMG dont mob" in AB then?
Is no one actually reading what the OP said? they want to be able to chat with other people while the cutscene is going. either by going to the next map and waiting for the "watcher" to finish or while it is going on. Opening chat bar beneath the scene. He/she isnt asking to do away with the cs just be able to chat around them.

If someone wants to watch the cutscene, I don't see any reason why you should be able to tell them that they can't just because you're impatient.

/Signed for the Scene Chat idea, that'd be nice.

I do believe that it's a problem that can be solved, but not in the suggested methods.

It can be annoying having to watch some of the longer cut-scenes, but I do appreciate some people want to see them. If they players who want to skip get taking to a different screen to chat, that doesn't interfere with those watching the scenes, then I think that's fine.

I wasnt talking about completely removing the cut scene Rat! Where did I mention removing it completely?

I was just pointing out the issuess that would arrise if you personally were able to skip the cut scene, while other people still watched it.

cutscenes do NOT count with the time of mission.
chat should be allowed in cutscenes

Completely agree with you. I just went through Vizunah Square in Factions, a mission that has what I would consider the worst game mechanic ever for GW: forced dual partying. Beyond the fact that we were lucky to complete it at all (2 diaper changes and a toddler who needed help with washing her hands later - hope he wasn't going for Masters but no where did they indicate you would be grouped with another player team and you shouldn't have to wiki a mission ahead of time), the other guy kept trying to skip the cut scenes, well, sorry, I'm going to watch them. No damn way somebody playing through for the first few times should have to let other people override their experience of the storyline so they can get it done faster.

Letting people force others to skip the cutscenes is very new player unfriendly, and since they're only making any money off the new players, it wouldn't just be a bad decision in general, it would be a bad business decision.

My Heroes and henches never complain if I want to watch (or skip) a cutscene.

But if, perchance, I am in a player group and 7/8 players want to skip the scene, but one person does not, I figure that one person is a first-timer and wants to watch it. No biggee. I have more important things to be "annoyed" about than something this trivial.

Sheesh, guys. I can exercise the patience needed to wait out a cutscene. It's like holding the door open for someone behind you to pass through. Yes, it slows down your progress a tad, but so what? It's not like it's going to ruin your whole day is it? If it does, then I think you really need to get out more. Good grief...

It can be annoying having to sit through a long cutscene just because one person won't skip. it's a great idea!

1. Add a way t replay every single cinematic (like adding a net tab in the quest/mission log with a list of all cinemtics)
2. Skip when at least one member skip..
Done.

I dont know anyone that doesn't skip when they already know the cutscene. More importantly - there are many cutscenes that occur during missions. If a player has not seen them before and the party is depending on an MM - then the new guy must lose the chunk of story in order to keep the minions alive. At least, during cutscenes the minions should go into freeze mode (no attacks, no health loss, etc.) until it is over.

...What?
1) If you're a survivor, you should not be in a pug, full stop.
2) Why would people use that to whipe their own parties?
3) This is pretty much the old situation (Elona reach, Dunes of Despair...) in which not skipping had the same effect; party death.

I do however agree with you; separating the party to have some who have skipped and some who have not is a bad idea.

How are those two things different? With scene chat, you'd be able to shout at them.

Minions' health, party health and party energy all freeze during cutscenes now.

/signed for getting access to chat (even if team chat is greyed out) during a cutscene.

/signed for the idea of skipping to the next area/town with cutscenes.

For the timed thing you could just have it if someone is watching the movie the timer doesn't start till all people are loaded in the game.

/not signed for chat in cutscenes
unless its PMs only
then /signed

Default Another one of these threads?

Do we need to have another "cut scene" thread? A quick search revealed the following:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ght=cut+scenes

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ght=cut+scenes

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ght=cut+scenes

I'm sure there are plenty more if you want to take the time to look.
